The largest piece in our singing bowl collection, this 21 cm handmade bell-metal singing bowl combines substantial weight, polished metal and a deep sustained singing tone.

Crafted in India from copper and tin and weighing approximately 1.5 kg, it has the presence of a true statement sound instrument. Its matched 22 × 6 cm King wooden striker is appropriately proportioned to the larger bowl and is included as part of the set.

Gently struck, the bowl produces a clear resonant note. Played steadily around its rim, its substantially lower singing tone develops into a deeper, slower sound than the smaller bowls in the collection.

Supplier reference tones: A♭4 at approximately 415 Hz when struck; D3 at approximately 146 Hz when played around the rim. Each handmade bowl remains individual, so exact frequency and resonance may vary slightly.

Each singing bowl is handmade, so small variations in finish, dimensions, weight and tonal character are part of its individual nature. Supplier note and frequency information is provided as a useful reference; the exact sound of an individual handmade bowl may vary slightly.

Use the included wooden striker to gently strike the bowl for a clear tone, or move it slowly and evenly around the outer rim to build a sustained singing sound. The technique may take a little practice.

Hold the bowl securely or place it on a stable, softly cushioned surface that allows the metal to resonate freely. Avoid striking the bowl with excessive force.

Wipe the bowl and wooden striker with a soft, dry cloth after use. Keep away from prolonged moisture and avoid abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners.
